Spring Valley is an unincorporated
town between Cordes Junction and
Mayer in Yavapai County Arizona. It’s
elevation is 4100 feet and receives
just a touch of snow each winter. It
is a master planned community
created by Les and Virginia Kyllo in
1972. The name of the town is
derived from the bubbling springs
that existed around the property and
are the current source for the
Bradshaw Mountain Water Company
that serves the area today. The 2008
population estimate for the
community is just under 1000
people.
Spring Valley is home to the Mayer
Jr.-Sr. High School and also to
Spring Ridge Academy, a therapeutic
boarding school for adolescent
girls. It has the Spring Valley Ward of
the Church of Jesus Christ Latter
Day Saints as well as the
Community Church that sponsors
the entrance sign pictured here.
There are two mini storage
complexes as well as a Laundromat
and car wash. The Medical Center
features Bradshaw Mountain
Diagnostic Laboratory, Spring Valley
Pharmacy, Spring Valley Dental, and
Bradshaw Mountain Family
Medicine. Just across the street is
the Texaco gas station and Liquor
Barn mini-mart.
Spring Valley has manufactured
homes, site built homes and horse
properties. It has underground
utilities and all the roads are paved.
It has unbelievable spectacular
views and wide open spaces that let
you see forever in clean fragrant air.
